Pastor, elder, ministry leader,
That gap matters. In the Gospels, the risen Christ never once sent His followers to make converts. He gave one command at the center of the Great Commission: make disciples (Matthew 28:19). Going, baptizing, and teaching describe how. Disciple-making is the mission.
Yet much of the Western church has built a faith that asks for a decision but does not require a life — attendance without abiding, converts but few disciples.

Discipleship isn’t an option. It’s the whole point of following Him. My prayer is that this book would move you, and the people you shepherd, to step into the model God ordained for His church.
